The Old City of Hyderabad is a walled city in Hyderabad in the Telangana state of India. The city is located on the banks of the Musi River, at an altitude of 560 m. The city is spread across an area of 260 square kilometers. It
was built by Qutb Shahi sultan Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 AD. There used to be a wall surrounding the Old City, most of which is destroyed now.
