North Dumdum, also known as Uttar Dumdum, is a municipality area of Kolkata in the Indian
state of West Bengal. It is a part of the North 24 Parganas district and is covered by the
Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority. It has a population of 249,142, with female and
male people of 126,279 and 122,836, respectively. The area is 26.49 sq kilometers long.
