Meenambakkam is a Chennai southern district of the Tamil Nadu Indian State. Chennai International Airport, the Indian Regional Airport Authority, and the DGQA Complex are located here. It was under the kingdom of Pallava.
The Meenambakkam name means coastal village. The wetlands, ponds, and borders on the Adyar River were revered at Meenambakkam. This makes it a wealthy fish source. Hence the term was coined Meenambakkam.

The Temple of Sridevi Sakthi Santhiamman is one of the oldest temples in town in the middle of the airport. The god is called Santhiamman since the village on Santhi is thought to be safeguarded,
meaning the crossroads in Tamil. The local people adorate Santhiamman.
Sridevi Periyapalayathamman:
The Temple is one of the main shrines of the village. The local villagers are worshipping the goddesses, and the annual temple festival is the main event of the village.
