Jhajjar is a district in Haryana, India. On July 15, 1997, it was separated from Rohtak district. The city is located on the NH-352, which connects Rewari and Rohtak, Charkhi Dadri and Delhi, and Gurgaon and Bhiwani. Jhajjar is 55 kilometers west of Delhi. Three major Haryana chiefs were tried and hanged at Kotwali in Chanda for their roles in the 1857 rebellion.
