Idikarai is a panchayat town in Coimbatore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated at the banks of the Kousika River. The city is spread across an area of about 12.08 square kilometers. It is located at an elevation of about 411 m. According to the 2011 India census, Idikarai had a population of 8686.
