Akhnoor is a city and Municipal Committee in the Jammu district in the Union Territory of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is located in Jammu. The city is spread across about 17.61 square
kilometers and is situated at an elevation of 301 m above sea level. As of the 2011 India
census, Akhnoor had a population of 11,225. Akhnoor is governed by the Municipal Committee
of Akhnoor, having 13 wards. Males constitute 54% of the people and females 46%. Akhnoor has
