Aishmuqam is a municipal committee city in the district of Anantnag, Jammu, and Kashmir. It
is located around 15 km away from the Main town Anantnag, approx 77 Km away from Srinagar
while on the route to Pahalgam. It is situated at an elevation of 1601 m above sea level.

It takes approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds for a train to cross the tunnel. It is the longest rail tunnel in India.
